A very special thanks to our Foster Grandparents for their participation in our Martin Luther King Jr. Service Project. Over 70 blankets were made by our DMESC foster grandparents for cancer patients and children. Blankets were delivered to The Call of Howard County, Little River Baptist Assoc. Pregnancy Center, Rockefeller Cancer Institute at UAMS, Arkansas Children's Hospital, Mercy Center Oncology (Fort Smith), Baptist Health Cancer Center (Fort Smith), Genesis Cancer Center (Hot Springs), KOTA Cancer Clinic (Hot Springs), and CHI St Vincent Cancer Center (Hot Springs). Hopefully, these blankets will be a blessing to these patients as much as our foster grandparents are to our students. #thinkcoop1st We Serve and Support our Schools for Student Success.

Jeff Killingsworth, Krissy Cross, Alan Floyd, Evan Patrick, Jo Ann Womack, and Tyra Hobson recently participated in the National K12 Cybersecurity Leadership Conference in Savannah, Georgia. At this event, they shared insights on the collaborative efforts of ADE, DIS, and ESCs in developing the Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT).
The formation of the CIRT, their Go-Bags, and their K12 toolkit underscores a proactive approach to addressing cybersecurity challenges within k12 education. By pooling resources and expertise, ADE, DIS, and ESCs have set a benchmark for others to follow in enhancing data security and incident response protocols. Their participation served as a platform to exchange best practices and strategies with techs across the nation.
Their dedication to collaboration and knowledge-sharing sets a positive example for the broader community, reinforcing the importance of proactive cybersecurity measures in safeguarding our districts against potential threats.
