DMESC and GFESC foster grandparents received training in February about nutrition and eating a healthy diet. Representatives from four Cooperative Extension Aging Offices (Howard-Jean Ince, Sevier-Janet Cantrell, Logan-Katie Golden, and Polk-Bridgett Martin) shared ideas on what a healthy plate looks like, what foods help keep your brain healthy, how to eat healthy in a restaurant, and foods that are best for diabetics. The workshops stressed to our grandparents that it is important for them to maintain their health to care for our students in school.

Abbye Turner’s Consumer Services pathway, Rocky Comfort Designs, from Foreman High School, was the most popular at the 2024 state Girl Power event. They received a Zapp jewelry welder on Wednesday and completed over 60 welds on Thursday. Thank you for coming! #thinkcoop1st
